So on Friday last week our kahui went to Jellie Park to just have a great day go on the water slides and just enjoy the day honestly I dont like the pools but I would be down to do that again if we got to go home at any time.

coastal Wolves DLO

 Coastal Wolves also known as Sea Wolves are avery unique breed ! And rare to find some places you can find them is in a mountain or a rainforest!

Coastal Wolve traits: some of there traits include them having grey fur 

Diet of coastal wolves 

Coastal wolves eat salmon which consist of about 25% of there diet And the rest of it they eat barnacles,

For comfort they normaly lay on kelp and feast on dead whales they normally go around by swiming and working out there body as they do it.

They live for at least 6 to 8 years but in captivity they can live up to 17 years. For coastal wolves they normally go around swiming and killing and hunting things down as there daily routine they also spend time making marks to mark out there land around where they live.

Fun run!

 First of all what is fun run?

Well fun run is a day that people raise money for kids to get stuff that they need you can also win prizes while doing so! 

So on Wednesday we got together and changed into white shirts and went around on a course and got hit with water and colour bombs. The after math was amazing we where all colourful but some people still got some of the bomb in there mouth which taste bad but apart from that the whole event was fun.

My thoughts on th fun run are pretty simple and I really enjoyed it I would be down to do it again next year but I do hope I raise some money next time by signing up ealier.

The amout of money I wanted to raise was basically anything but I signed up to late. To get people to try donate to me I tried posting it on social medias but my wifi failed on me.

 so in politics since we finished the voting we have decided to chose leaders and to write about there timeline heres mine on rose parks

YR9 Leader ship

 So for a kete this term we are doing a YR9 leaderships task and we where learning and writting about the different type of leader ships here are some of them my class has been learning about and when and what time these leaders come in handy.

Drama Character design !

 SO during Drama we have been making characters to fit the role of a melo drama role

My character is named:

Alexander coreith

Hes 17 and an outcast sounds pretty basic but thats okay because its melo drama and its stero tipic type of character. His gender is a male but hes pretty thin and scrawny to be one.

The relationships he has are almost no one but hes pretty close to his friends family and often stays with them there, He has a few skills like for excample he is very quiet with the way he moves because of his scrawny body figure. Another thing is that he can fool or lie and make people believe of what hes saying.

His intreste are odd he likes crafting and rats out of all things but hes quite use to the way his life looks. something he dosen't know is that he ends up to be an accidental hero and people would expect more from him even tho what he did was an accident.

So far this is my character and I am happy with him I still have more to write about this character but i'll work on it more in the future

B + E = Business and enterprize

 So what B + E is basically we are making a product advertising it and seeing if people would see intrest in it and buy the product.

My product is called Eloquent Surprises and basically what we are selling is a box you can choose either medium or small and get earings and a necklace. If you choose the medium you get lollies. There's also a twist in one of the boxes. There's a kind of ticket that you can get a pack of lollies from! It's kind of like a golden ticket.

So far our business has been going good and my team has been doing well in their roles. We have been getting a good start and im looking forward to market day. I hope we do well in the long term. I have my doubts and my hopes but aslong as we get the job done we'll be fine.

My opinion overall is that it's been fun drawing and advertising and making stuff to go with this now I just hope we get through the day.

She was born on November 1, 1889.

She was born in Gotha, Germany.

Melodrama

The Melodramatic Acting Style 
Remember in Victorian Melodrama, all emotion is externalised.
There is no such thing as inner psychological depth! 
Generally this means “Over the Top” in every way. Here are some
techniques which help create this affect. 
Slower, clearer delivery of lines with huge projection. Remember Victorian
Theatres were huge and there were no microphones. 
Play everything to the audience, even if you are supposed to be talking to
another character on stage! Indicate whom you are talking to by looking sideways
at them and holding your hand out towards. 
Address the audience directly whenever the script will allow you to do so. 
The Pose: Invent poses of shock, horror, love, evil, intent, cruelty, desire,
dilemma, forgiveness, begging forgiveness etc. A pose should last at least
three seconds and should be clearly visible from fifty metres. 
The working yourself up to the pose: lasts two to three seconds
-let's see you getting there! 
The Gasp - very loud expressing a range of emotions. Often accompanied by a pose. 
The Swoon - often preceded by lines such as "Alas! I can hardly bear it." The swoon should be graceful and provision should be made for someone to catch you.

Black death!

 Fleas and rats spread the black death.

Firstly the rat had the plague in their blood cells so when the flea caught on to the rats and sucked the plague out of them then they would jump onto humans and when they drink there blood they would vomit a little bit of the black death into there blood cells. This shows how easily the black death could spread throughout europe, other ways they could spread it was through trading ships and when the bodies died people would go collect them then those people would catch the black death. Once humans caught the plague they showed a series of symptoms.

Interestingly...

Peasants and royals still where dirty even tho one got better than the other they still had poo underneath there houses. Stuff like rats rubbish and the way people used to treat the world is mainly the reason why the black death started.

This information is important from the fact that if we didnt age through out the years we would still have so many problems within the world even tho the world we live in isnt a dream just yet we still have a long way to go.

Arts Kete! FInal Post!!

Hey guys so this is my final piece of my arts kete I had to slow down and re write the story but it turnt out how I hoped for it to turn out with this I really didnt have an image in mind but I was one of the first people to finish!

Something I enjoyed about this arts kete was the fact that we had to draw and we got to make a comic once again another thing we could work on is having more time to make a story characters and draw it all out.

I did succesfully complete my comic and it turnt out good I like the way that the lining came out smooth and I just liked the way it came out.

Something I would change is just the time limit.

I showed my carr values by just getting on with my work and finishing it.

A prop wepon is where a prop is in the shape of a gun or sword or something to kill or attack, A hero prop is where there is added lighting or speacial affect to the scene or movie like when lights flicker or when heros fly, A stunt prop is where There are rubber weponds where stuntmen use to attack or hunt down people, I think a slave prop is where you have other people to act as maids or stuff to clean with normally.

Arts Kete

Hey guys so for the last few weeks we have been working on making a comic/manga script as in right now I am on my final copy of my comic and the message i am basically trying to make out is that you dont need superpowers to be someones hero.

From when i started arts kete it was actually really fun because i was able to make a comic and actually draw.

The plot of my story has changed so its easier to make its about a person named akiko who got turnt into a baby and his friends need to try and save him from doing things hes not ment to like touching sharp objects and other things,

The people in my story are simple, akiko usami the main character Cho daichi one of the main side characters and finally Ekio Ai the other main side characters.

I'll be sure to update on how the comic turnt out and hopefully add in some photos so you guys could see the comic.

Over all I like this arts kete i just think that we should have more time to come up with characters and make a plot instead of doing it in 2 or 3 days other than that i am glad I choose this kete.

Evaparation

Intro: We have been learning about evaparation is a process from turning liquid into vapour .

Aim: to evaparate copper sulfate ( blue liquid ) 

Hypothasis: i think that the copper is going to be evaparated.

Equipment: Gauze mat

Method: 

1. Set up element
2. Add 100mL of hot water to the beaker and place on the element.
3. Add copper sulfate to the evaporating basin until it is quarter full.
4. Carefully, place the the evaporating basin on top of the beaker. 
5. Turn on the element to 3
6. Heat the solution until most of the solvent has been evaporated and crystals of solute are forming. 

Turn off the element- careful not to touch as will be hot for a long time.

Bubbles are forming in the water, steam is starting to rise from the element, waters starting to boil,

Conclusion:

we started getting bubbles until the water boiled and then we started getting crystals to represent liquid seprating from the vapour and the colour of the solid was blue or whitey ish.

As being a guy people expect you to smoke and be tough and not care about a girls feelings.

Filtration expreiment

Today in hurumanu 3 while we where doing science we where doing a filtration experiment which basically means seprating a soild from a sulotion

Aim: make a mixture then separate from filtration

Hypotheses: Large particals will end up in the filtor the small liquid will be filtored

Method:1. Pour approximately 50mL of copper sulfate solution into a beaker.

2. Add the same volume of sodium carbonate solution. A reaction will happen, you should see a cloudy blue precipitate form. Called copper carbonate. 

3. Watch demo then fold filter paper to fit inside the funnel

4. Place the funnel with the filter paper inside of it, into the mouth of a conical flask. 

5. Stir the mixture in the beaker, then carefully pour it into the funnel. 

6. Observe what happened.

Observations:
started with two liquids that where see through but when mixed together its made a blue soild when you put it through the filter you get a clear watery liquid and you also get a mushy solid

Online is not as important as real life

( Heres the discussion we had in class:

So I think that online is important because most of the time people dont have dads or mothers or there friends or grandparents ect so we use online to get in touch with them and not to mention corona but its still out there so we cant see the people we miss the most.

Yes having online relationships can be bad for example the person your talking to online could be really onld or really young or maybe even a catfish which is what makes having an online relationship bad but yet again if you know that the person your talking to is who they really say they are then it could be something you do in the future to meet up and talk more.

another reason about having an online relationship is like there not really real or they think that about you and dont understand your feelings or if there hurting you in realtiy but your behind a screen and they cant see you.

A reason that having a relationship is better in real life is simple because you can easily see how the other person reacts to what you say or you can have an actual conversation with them and get closer and be more happier that your able to see them.

there are some bad points when your not online like force they could force you into things you dont want to do and at this point they can hurt you physical and lock you away from the world if they have enough power over you.

Over all i think that both are able you help people but there also able to hurt people because for me my friends and most of my family are online so i like to be online with them but with my friends at school i get to see them in real life and not over a digital screen.

PE but at lvl 2??

Something that i liked about lock down was the fact that i had alot more free time and had more time to play games,
Something i hated about lock down was not being able to go outside or see my friends or being able to have my free dom.

What I have being doing regarding to fitness is i have been walking my dog and going on alot more walks myself and have been getting out of the house more at lvl 2!!

Starter: To throw and pass balls to people in your group, Running atleast 2 laps on the gym, and maybe a short game of colours maybe??

The great bubble adventure

Hello, So its currently my first day at school after lockdown and we did something called the great bubble adventure we got given pipecleaners and i got a red one which includes something funny you did in lock down, And what i said was funny but horrifying at the same time. I was in loockdown and my cat brought in a dead bird and then my dog started to hit it against my walls and then my cat continued to eat it and left the head on my mothers pillow! C:

Afghan Cookies!!

So in the holidays me and my mum have been baking a cookie known as Afghan cookies!! there very sweet but at the same time there not!

Where these cookies came from is in the edmonds cookbook, They can be easy to make if you have all the right materials.

Some of the methods you can develoup from baking these cookies is learning how to work fast especialy with the icy-ing, The outcome of the cookies where great they didnt have a crunch yet again they didnt have a chew they where in the middle, with the icying you can use whatever icying you got.

But personally i perfer fudge icying!

Overall this was a great time cooking and i hope to do it again!! ill see you in the next blog byeeeee!

My active Lockdown

So during the lockdown I have had an online class which was for PE today we had to check our paulse our resting paulse and then we had to go out for a run to the mail box and back and check out paulse again my resting paulse beeped 30 times in 30 seconds and the my active paulse beeped 36 times in under 30 seconds.

So some of the things we used in this was ( Butter cream icing, Cupcake batter, and then m&ms and sprinkles )

How did my team work together:
So how my team worked together was just taking jobs and responsiblitys into our own hands

Something i liked about doing this was basically just being able to bake when im not able to at home

Silent Movies & Time

SO i know its been awhile but here i am again! So this blog is from drama

(s) So today we did a silent Movie where of course you have to act out a movie but silent
(e) So some of the props we used where guns flowers and old looking cups, we also had costumes i only had a cowboy hat because i was a drunk person in the movie, This scene we acted out was based around the olden days so just imagen we are in the wild west like how you see in movies
(x) Some of the costumes we had where really just based on the wild west, Some roles we had in this was the - drunk guy - Me - The bar tender - Ella - Out law - Lucy - Sherif - Emily - Piano player - Tamsyn
(y) Though out this i was really excited but felt nervouse at the same time because don't get me wrong i love drama im just to shy to express myself

 Drunk Guy-
So for this role all i basically had to do was act drunk walk into the bar and then take cover when people started fighting

Bar Tender-
So the bar tender had a thing with the out laws wife and also gave the drunk guys drinks so they could take there position in the role

Out Law-
So the out law was the sherifs husband and after he found out that his wife was cheating on him we goes down to the bar and begins to fight

Sherif-
So the sherif is the outlaws wife and has something speacial with the bar tender and after the out law finds out they begin a fight

Piano Player-
So what this role is is that they basically just played the piano through out the whole scene

Aim:to find complex simple and complex sugars

Hypothesis: i think that most of the food is going to change but not all of them are

Method:
put iodine in a test tube and put the food in the test tube and then the food with the liquid

Potato: complex

Apple: complex

Bread: complex

Egg: simple

Second test:

Aim: Testing foods to see if there simple or complex

Equipment: water bath, test long tubes, benedicts solution, a sample of food

Method: place about 2ML of the sample into a test tube and then add 5 drops of benedicts solution.
heat with water bath until it changes colour

Results:

Milk: positive

Bread: positive

Egg: not positive

suga: Positive

potato: positive

apple: positive

Equipment: test tube, sodium hydroxide (NaOh), Copper sulfate (CusO), food sample

Method:place about 2mL of the sample into the test tube and 5 drops of sodium hydroxide (NaOh)
add 5 drops on copper sulfate shake the test tube gently from side to side

results:

egg: positive

Conclusion:
No everythign turnt out how i thought it would but i guess thats life
