Matariki

Matariki is a time to celebrate the time of the Maori new year and time to make and fly kites and grow crops

It is a time to look up at the sky to see the seven sisters.

They come out at late may or early june.

Then we know that it is spring  time.
It is a time to share old stories like when the seven sister were alive and young and gather kaimoana and carve or weave.
