Aim: To measure wind speed by using onemometer

Wind speed - Making an anemometer.

MATERIALS 

1. 4 cups  
2. penicl  
3.   straws
4. tape  

STEPS

1.   poke holes in each of the cups
2.   stick straws through
3.   tape the straws together
4.   tape straws to penicl
5.   make sure its stable
6. there ya go
   
   Once you have made an anemometer we are going to record the wind speed.

   You will need:  

   
   

   Anemometer (above) 

   
   

   Roles:

   
   

   
   

   • Timekeeper
   • Counter
   • Recorder
   • Anemometer Manager
   • Wind generator

   1. Mount the anemometer in a place that has full access to the wind from all directions.
   2. When the time keeper says "Go", the counter in each group will count how many times the marked cup passes them in one minute and write it down.
   3. If possible, repeat the above step four (4) times and record the average number of spins on the chart.

   FINDINGS

   • Record how many times it spins using the table below.
   You will need to create the wind yourself by blowing. Get 4 different wind speeds by blowing.

Through out classes 7/8bh and 7/8tz we have been working on writting a narrative writting for the stop motion we have been working on this is mine i hope you enjoy!

Hadley POV

It has been hours since I last spoke with my dad his screaming and yelling has gotten to my head. I’ve had enough just to make this clear my dad is an alcoholic and I hate it. I have been waiting in my room for about 2 hours now still no sign of my dad coming back home I thought to myself *I’ve had enough I’m done I promised I would stay but it turned out I can't keep a promise.*

Normal POV

She then packed her bags and jumped out the window she ran into a forest it was dark gloomy Hadley had shivers going down her spin she mumbled under her breath “This better be worth it” She checked her watch it was 10 past 12. At that moment the world shook Hadley had been knocked out. She heard a cold demonic voice whisper in her ear. “Night Night” Before Hadley had been completely knocked out. After a few hours Hadley woke up she looked around the room before spotting someone staring at her she tried to move but soon realized she was chained to the wall. Matt spoke “Aw trying to leave already? Im Matt” 

Time Skip ~ Kyoya’s House

Ugh I hate it here my dad is just a pain I can’t take it anymore I grasped a knife before hearing my dad yelling from down stairs I dropped the knife I had in my hands before running down stairs he was drunk again. I Grumbled before quietly going back up stairs when I saw a hand come out of nowhere I got flung back before I got the smell of beer in my nose. I felt disgusting I yelled at him “WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?” He slowly giggled before letting go I was planning to make a run for it before he pinned me against the wall and started choking me. 

Normal POV

Kyoya was screaming out he started to cough up blood he keeps on trying to find a way to get free when he felt his dad’s hands sink and fall down before seeing a familiar face it was Crystal she then grabbed Kyoya’s dad and threw him to the ground they ran out the door

Art Hurumanu

These pasrt few weeks in hurumanu classes 7/8bh and 7/8tz have been working on stop motion art we had 3 to 4 people in out groups in my group I had three people me, Shelby and meleana we got a choice to do clay stop motion or white board stop motion my group went with white board my group and I have 5 characters Kyoya, Crystal, Mateo and Kyoyas dad. we are doing this because we want to show people are work in a way that is going to take more than one day to do so people know it takes effort to make art. Art is one of my favourite thing to do but this art hurumanu... im not really enjoying it I have more fun making comics than I do making stop motions. Also we dont get a quite working area so I cant focus on anything I do because my ears are really and I mean really sencitive to noise but apart from that I love the fact that we can be creative and making a story. today me and my group were working on drawing out the characters we havent fully finished but where making a start! over all I love working on art!! goodbye and see you in the next blog make sure to give me some feedback of what I could improve.

CIP Last blogpost for term 2!

Through out this term we have been focusing

C.I.P has been pretty normal but has aslo been really fun to! Why because we reacently i got to draw drawing is a really big part of my life this is conected to C.I.P because we have started making a drawing compettion going from year 0 to year 8 this drawing compettion is going through out 3 schools Hornby Primiry, Gilberthots & St bernadettes I have been working on making a poster along with other people. Some other people are making the drawing designs to colour in, There are prizes included! Through out this C.I.P activity i have to say that this was my favourite part of the C.I.P this term.


Another thing we have done this term is something called Passion projects i have done two of these which is singing and dancing! Dancing is my favourite one because we get to move around instead of sitting in a room. In dancing me and jessica made a dance to the song born to make hystory you will be able to see this video of me and Jessica dancing to this soon! Over all i loved the passions i chose and i am probly going to choose the same ones next term!

SInging was also another really good passion! the people in the singing group are going to a concert to perform a song that we havent choosen yet but i am really excited to see what song it is. This singing group has also brought back old memiroes of songs i knew but forgot about so it brings a spark back to my life!
